To promote self-generated income and achieve sustainability the UDSM plans to develop Single Sign On (SSO) system. This is a centralized authentication mechanism which enables system users to access multiple applications using a single set of credentials. It is a widely used contemporary concept in information systems realm where users are required to have only one set of credentials rather than remembering usernames and passwords for different systems.
