Activities under this focus area involves long term and short term trainings. In the long term trainings, the capacity building to staff is being implemented under the MoEST-HEET Project scholarships offered (for 10 MSc and 12 PhD studies).  For the short term, there are 10 short term trainings that will be conducted to various units within the UDSM so as to equip them with the modern and innovative skills in the support of improvement of the ways to deliver core functions and manage the University. In addition, the Project will train UDSM management (VC, DVCs and Deans/Principals and Directors) on Leadership and Management Skills. Similarly, 65 UDSM female staff will be trained on leadership and management skills.
