As its name implies, the HEET Project Steering Committee at the University of Dar es Salaam provides overall support for the implementation of the project. It is expected to be alert all the time to ensure that project objectives are achieved as per the implementation schedule. The composition, duties and responsibility of the Institutional Project Steering Committee is provided under Article 6 (2) of the Grant Agreement. As Article 6 of the Grant Agreement also provides for the project implementation requirements, the success or otherwise of this project depends in the final analysis on the implementers, in this case UDSM. The IPSC has the overall responsibilities of overseeing and providing guidance on the project implementation; advocating for and promoting collaboration between the university, and public/private sector; and acting as a liaison between the project and Government and private sector at large.
